Allie L. Payton, 68, a retired longshoreman who served in the Navy during World 
War I, was given final rites Saturday at Mt Olive Baptist Church with the Rev. H. 
T. Myers officiating.

Mr. Payton died Sept. 13 at Kecoughtan Hospital.  He was buried in Calvary 
Cemetery.
