E. Church at 3:30 o’clock Sunday afternoon and was largely attended by a large number of friends of the deceased, including Lafayette Lodge No. 9, Independent Order Odd Fellows and a delegation from Castle Virginia No. 59 Knight of the Golden Rule. The services were conducted by Rev. W. E. Evans and the remains were interred in Elmwood Cemetery. The following were pall-bearers. Lafayette Lodge I. O. O. F. –Samuel Isham, George D. Fentress. Castle Virginia-J. E. Barker, W. F. Gregory. Mexican Veterans-Major James F. Milligan. Citizen R. W. Carter.
