Norfolk Journal and Guide,Jan 12,1946 
William A. Peebles - Funeral services for Mr. Peebles, 1315 Anne street who died 
Dec. 27, were held on Dec. 30 from First Baptist Church with the Rev. R. H. 
Bowling officiating. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Dosie Peebles, one son, William 
A. Peebles Jr., one daughter, Miss Carolyn Peebles, and one sister, Mrs. Anne P. 
Middleton. He was a veteran of Foreign War Post. Interment was in Calvary Cemetery 
with Morning Glory Funeral Home in charge.
