Norfolk Virginian Pilot January 17, 1935
 
Mrs. Jane Elizabeth Peed, aged 87 years, widow of John H. Peed, a native and 
lifelong resident of Norfolk, died at 11:30 o'clock Wednesday night at the 
Episcopal Church Home, 356 West Princess Anne Road. Mrs. Peed was a member of 
Christ and St. Luke's Church and was a social member of the Daughters of America 
and of the Women's Benefit Association. She is survived by one brother, Joseph B. 
McLean, of New York. Remains were removed to H.D. Oliver's Funeral Apartments, 
610-12 East Freemason Street, pending funeral arrangements.
