Norfolk Journal and Guide, Jan 7,1967
Baltimore - Joseph Peel of 2443 McCulloh street, Baltimore, was given final 
rites Dec. 30 in Chatman Funeral Chapel, Norfolk. Burial was in Calvary 
Cemetery. Mr. Peel died Dec. 24 n the Veterans Admnistration Hospital in 
Baltimore.

A native of Rich Square, NC, he was a son of the late Mack Peel and Mrs. 
Timpie Scott Peel and the husband of the late Mrs. Lucy Peel. He was a 
veteran of World War I.

Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Kattie Shaffer and Mrs. Pecolia Burt of 
Baltimore; and three grandchildren.
