Virginian Pilot November 15, 1985

William Benjamin Peele, 85, of 450 Brockwell Ave., a native of Woodland, 
N.C., died Tuesday in a Portsmouth nursing home.
Mr. Peele had retired from Portsmouth General Hospital.  He was a member of 
Ebenezer Baptist Church in Portsmouth.
Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth D. Peele; a daughter, Catherine P. 
Rand of Norfolk; a sister, Lois Williams of Philadelphia; seven 
grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
The graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. today in Magnolia Cemetery by 
the Rev. J.L. Kearney. Twilight Funeral Home, Portsmouth Chapel, is handling 
arrangements.  The family will be at 1314 Outten St. in Norfolk.
