Norfolk - A funeral service for Mrs. Hattie F. Pegram, who died July 17 in a
hospital, was held Wednesday in St. Mary’s Catholic Church.  The Rosary was
recited Tuesday in Jones Funeral Chapel.

Mrs. Pegram was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, United Order of Tents,
and a charter member of Daughters of Norfolk.

She is survived by a foster son, Edward Fuller of Annapolis, MD;  a foster
daughter, Mrs. Helen Bass of Portsmouth;  three daughters, Mrs. Hattie D. Paige,
Mrs. Emily V. Ponton of Norfolk, and Mrs. Mary E. Cuffee of New York;  a sister,
Mrs. Virginia Merritt of Long Island;  10 grandchildren, and four
great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Pegram was buried in Calvary Cemetery.
