Virginian Pilot and The Norfolk Landmark January 30, 1929

Russell Edward Pelot, formerly of this city, died yesterday afternoon at 4:45 
o'clock in Garfield Hospital, Washington, D.C., after an illness of 10 days.  
Born in Columbia, S.C., Mr. Pelot had lived in this section 20 years.  He was 
the son of the late E.E. and Mrs. Eller Nixon Pelot, and is survived by his 
wife, Mrs. Elizabeth Terry Pelot, daughter of W.H. Terry, of East Berkley Avenue 
and Grayson Street; two sisters, Mrs. R.W. Bazemore, Norfolk and Mrs. Sylvester 
Moore, Lancaster, Pa.; three brothers, Edward E. Pelot, New Orleans, I.D. Pelot, 
Norfolk and F.D. Pelot, Washington.  Funeral arrangements will be arranged upon 
arrival of the body in Norfolk.

PELOT, RUSSELL EDWARD - In a Washington, D.C. hospital, Tuesday afternoon, 
January 29, 1929, at 4:45 o'clock, RUSSELL EDWARD PELOT, husband of Mrs. 
Elizabeth Terry Pelot, son of the late E.E. and Mrs. Ella Nixon Pelot, Columbia, 
S.C., aged 45 years.
The body will arrive in Norfolk Thursday morning via Washington steamer and will 
be taken to the funeral home of E. Lee Cox & Brother, 631 Westover Avenue, where 
funeral services will be conducted FRIDAY MORNING, February 1, at 10:30 o'clock.  
Friends are invited. Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery, private.
