She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles 'Charlie' Peltier, and her sisters, Marie and Antonette, and brother, Phillip. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Richard and Marie, her son Michael, her niece, Delores, her nephew, Jerry, and her granddaughters, Christa and Jamie. Poppy served in the U.S. Navy Waves during WWII. It was in the Navy where she met Charlie. Poppy was known for her compassion, kindness, and selfless generosity, her appreciation of nature and God's creatures, and her love of creating wonderful things with her hands. The visitation is Wednesday January 14, 2015, 10AM, at St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church in Virginia Beach, to be followed by a Mass at 11AM.
