Mrs. Victoria Langley Pendleton, formerly of Norfolk, died March 4 after a long 
illness. Funeral services were held from the Cosmopolitan Community Church, 
Baltimore, MD, Saturday, March 8, of which she had been a member since leaving 
Norfolk. The remains were brought to her home at 436 E. Brambleton Avenue via 
Chesapeake Line, S. S. “City of Norfolk.” of which she had been a maid for many 
years. Short services conducted by Rev. J. A. Young from the home, Monday, March 
10. Interment took place in the Calvary Cemetery. Mourning their loss are two 
brothers, two sons, one daughter, three grandchildren, and a host of relatives and 
friends.
