Frank A. Penello, 65, of Virginia Beach, died Aug. 7, 1998, at his residence.

Mr. Penello was born in Norfolk. He was the son of the late Angelo Joseph Penello. 
Mr. Penello was a member the Tidewater Bicycle Association (TBA). He has been an 
avid member of TBA since the early 1970's, serving a term as Touring Vice-
President.

Survivors include his mother, Ruby S. Penello Atkinson of Virginia Beach; a 
cousin, Anne Wingfield of Norfolk; a sister, Winifred Lois Abbott of Santa Clara, 
Calif.; two nieces, Winifred E. Miller of Lusby, Md., and Susan R. Abbott of 
Herndon, Va.; two nephews, Dana A. Abbott of Laredo, Texas, and Craig J. Abbott of 
Santa Cruz, Calif.

A memorial service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday at H.D. Oliver Funeral 
Apts., Laskin Road Chapel, by Father James E. Dorson. Burial will follow at St. 
Mary's Catholic Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes 
Association, 101 W. Plume Street, Norfolk, Va. 23510.
