NORFOLK — Minnie Marie Penello, 91, of 8528 Culfor Crescent, the widow of Frank 
Penello, died Saturday in a hospital. She was a native of Southington, Conn., 
and had lived here for 75 years.
A retired beauty operator, she had been with Charles Beauty Salon for many 
years. She was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church. 
Survivors include three daughters, Carolyn P. Nofplot, Nancy C. Penello and Mary 
A. Manni, all of Norfolk; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, 
Tidewater Drive Chapel. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery. A 
Christian wake service will be said at 7 p.m. today in the funeral home.
The family, which will be at the funeral home from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today, 
suggests that flowers be omitted. Memorial donations may be made to Holy Trinity 
Catholic Church or a favorite charity.


Additional Comments:
While she was the wife of Frank Pennello, and his last name is spelled that way on 
his tombstone, her tombstone and obit show her last name as Penello.
