Norfolk Virginian Pilot Tuesday October 17, 1944
Thomas Bennett Penn, 76, of 404 Fairfax avenue, died in a local hospital 
last night at 7:30 o'clock after a long illness. He was a native of Patrick 
County and had been a resident of Norfolk for 35 years.
He is survived by a sister, Mrs. Nellie P. Young, of Norfolk and a stepson, 
Henry Parker, U.S. Army.
The body will be taken from the James V. Derry Funeral Chapel Wednesday 
morning to Elmwood Cemetery where services will be conducted at the grave at 
11 o'clock.
