Mr. Pennello was a native of Norfolk. He was retired as a co-owner of Pennello Brothers Plumbing and Heating Contractors. He and his nephew, Julian R. Pennello, were in business together for more than 45 years. He was the widower of Annie Stewart Pennello and was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church in Norfolk. He was an Army veteran of World War II and a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Norfolk Sports Club. Survivors include a son, Michael J. Pennello and his wife, Maudie, and a granddaughter, Aine Pennello, all Norfolk. A church service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday in Christ the King Catholic Church by the Rev. Joseph Lehman. Entombment will be in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery. A Christian wake service will be held in H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Norfolk, on Sunday afternoon at 5 p.m. The family will receive friends at the funeral home following the wake service.
