Virginian-Pilot February 14, 1928
Anthony Joseph Pennello, aged 37, son of Caroline and the late Julian Pennello, 
died yesterday morning at 3:35 o’clock at the residence, 229 Ainsworth street. He 
was a native of Italy but had been a resident of Norfolk for 35 years. He is 
survived by his wife, Mrs. Anna Pennello; his mother, Mrs. Caroline Pennello; four 
children; a sister, Mrs. Lawrence Danza, of Roanoke; seven brothers,
Joseph N., Rocco, John, Angelo, Vincent and Julian Pennello, of Norfolk, and 
Generee Pennello, of New York. Funeral services will be held at Sacred Heart 
Catholic Church this morning at 10 o’clock. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
