The deceased was a native of Maryland, but had been a resident of this section fourteen years, where he had made a large number of friends. He is survived by two sisters and a brother. ************************* PENNINGTON - At the residence of his sister, Mrs. Charles Straughn, 102 "B" Street, South Norfolk, Tuesday afternoon, January 7, 1919, at 5:50 o'clock, ALONZO COLE PENNINGTON, native of Havre de Grace, Maryland, aged 65 years. The funeral will take place WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON at 3 o'clock. Interment in Magnolia Cemetery. J.O. Babcock, pastor of the Liberty Street Methodist Church. The interment was in Magnolia Cemetery. The pallbearers were: Littleton Hanbury, William Toomer, Vaden Parron, R.G. Dowdy, John Rogers, D.T. Allen.
