NORFOLK - William Herbert Penny, 36, of 2719 Somme Ave., the husband of Mrs. 
Lourdes Jalmasco Penny and retired from the Navy as a radioman, first class, 
died Wednesday in Portsmouth Naval Hospital.
Penny, a native of Fall River, Mass., was a son of Mrs. Loretta Archambault 
Woelkers of Victorville, Calif. He was a member of Christ the King Catholic 
Church.
Other survivors include his stepfather, Rollen L. Woelkers of Victorville, two 
daughters, Misses Kerrie Anne Penny and Lorie M. Penny, and a son, Philip M. 
Penny, all of Norfolk; a sister, Candice M. Simpson of Livermore, Calif., and a 
brother, Steve R. Woelkers of Victorville.
A prayer service will be held tonight at 7 in Smith & Williams Funeral Home, 
Norfolk Chapel. A funeral Mass will be said Friday at 10 a.m. in Christ the King 
Catholic Church by the Rev. J. Michael Breslin. Burial will be in St. Mary’s 
Cemetery with military honors at the grave. The family will be at his home. 
Memorial donations may be made to the Cancer Fund.
