Norfolk Journal and Guide, May 3,1964
Norfolk - Funeral services were held Sunday for Mark Percy of 1313 Chapel 
street, who died April 28, at Mt. Olive Baptist Church, where he was a member.  
The Rev. H. T. Myers conducted the rites.  Burial was in Calvary Cemetery with 
Hale Funeral Home in charge.

He was a native of Margarettsville, NC and the husband of Mrs. Frances Percy.

Owner of a confectionery here, Mr. Percy served on the deacon board of his 
church.

Surviving are his wife, three sons, Jasper, Melvin and Lorenza A. Percy, all of 
Norfolk;  three daughters, Mrs. Leola Neolis King of New York City, Miss Freda 
Percy of Washington and Mrs. Pearl C. Barge, of Norfolk;  a sister, Mrs. Nettie 
King, of Norfolk, and seven grandchildren.
