The Virginian Pilot February 26, 1986
James Walter Perkins, 91, of 904 Spotswood Ave., a Norfolk native, died Monday 
in a nursing home.
Mr. Perkins, the widower of Ela Mason Perkins, was a member of Park Place 
United Methodist Church and its Wesley Bible Class and administrative board.
Survivors include a sister, Mildred L. Perkins of Norfolk. 
The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday in Park Place United 
Methodist Church by the Rev. M.J. Kim.  Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.  
Cox Funeral Home is handling arrangements.  Memorial donations may be made to a 
favorite charity.
