Perkins, 48 years of age, died yesterday morning at 10:30 o'clock, at the residence of her brother, L.M. Perkins, 415 Appomattox street, after a brief illness. She was a native of Camden N.C., but had been a resident of this section for twenty-three years and was well known in her community and respected among a large circle of friends. She is survived by her mother, Mrs. Susan Gregory Perkins, a sister, Mrs. W.C. Quillin of Spencer, N.C., brothers, W.D. and L.M. Perkins of this city. She was a member of the South Norfolk Baptist Church. The funeral will take place at the above residence this afternoon at 4 o'clock and will be conducted by the pastor, Rev. W.M. Black. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery.
