The deceased and husband were both very ill at the same time for a long while and it was but a few days ago that Mr. Perkins was able to get out. The funeral will be conducted from the residence Sunday afternoon at 3 o'clock and the remains will be interred in Magnolia Cemetery. ****************************************************************************** The funeral of Mrs. Edward Perkins, who died at her home on Montalant Avenue Friday afternoon, was conducted from the residence Sunday afternoon at 3 o'clock, Rev. Herbert Scholz, pastor of Main Street Church, officiating. The attendance was very large and many beautiful flowers were laid on and by the casket as tokens of the kindly regard in which she was held in her community. She was a sister of Messrs. C.H. and John Godfrey, of New York and Mr. Ed Godfrey, of Berkley, who attended the funeral services. The remains were interred in Magnolia Cemetery. The following gentlemen acted as pallbearers, Messrs. J.O. Wiggs, W.J. Spence, James Johnson, Thomas Pierce, A.W. Petty, L.F. Carty, C.A. Marwitz, W.H. Parron.
