Perkins, of 967 Washington Ave., died Thursday morning in a hospital after a long illness. A native of Norfolk, she was the widow of William D. Perkins and a daughter of the late Martin and Mrs. Julia Perry. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church. She was a retired teacher of the Elizabeth City, N.C., school system. Surviving are a son, Carlton D. Perkins, and a sister, Miss Willie Mae Perry, both of Norfolk; and two grandchildren. The body was taken to Graves Funeral Home. NORFOLK — A funeral service for Mrs. Annette Perkins will be held Monday at 11 a.m. in St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery. The Rosary will be recited Sunday at 8 p.m. in Graves Funeral Home.
