Virginian Pilot August 23, 1908

Mrs. Bettie M. Perry died at her home, 212 Cooke Avenue, yesterday morning after 
an illness of five months in the 56th year of her age. She was the wife of John 
C. Perry and was born in North Carolina, but had resided in Norfolk for twenty-
five years.
Besides her husband, the deceased leaves two daughters, Mrs. F.M. Brewer and 
Miss Nellie L. Perry. The funeral will be held from her late residence at 2 
o'clock this afternoon and will be conducted by Rev. T.J. Taylor of Queen Street 
Methodist Church.
The interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery.

PERRY - At her residence, No. 212 Cook Avenue, Saturday, August 22, 1908, at 
7:45 a.m., BETTIE M., beloved wife of John C. Perry, aged 55 years.
The funeral will take place from the above residence THIS (Sunday) AFTERNOON, 
August 23, at 2 o'clock.  Friends and acquaintances respectfully invited to 
attend.
