Funeral services were held Sunday, Sept. 8, at Pretlow’s Funeral Chapel for 
Miss Georgia Perry, who died in a local hospital after a short illness.  
Miss Perry was a native of Bertie County, NC and the daughter of the late 
William and Mrs. Mary Perry.

The Rev. W. B. Westbrook conducted rites.  Miss Perry is survived by five 
nieces, Mrs. Arlethia Riddick, Mrs. Erma Gaylock, Mrs. Elizabeth Jordan, 
Mrs. Annie Whitehurst, and Mrs. Ruth Holley;  three nephews, Albert and 
Harry Cartwright, all of this city and James Riddick of Washington, DC.

Burial was in Mt. Olive Cemetery
