Lebanon Baptist Church Sunday, Oct. 27 at 1:30 p.m. for Wilbur Givens Perry, 33-year-old resident of 913 Wide steet, who died from gunshot wounds received Oct. 19. Mr. Perry died at a local hospital shortly after he was shot with a .38 caliber pistol. Gary Ralph Bell, 52, was indicted by the Corporation Court grand jury this week on charges growing out of the shooting which occurred in the rear of a house in the 600 block of Goff street. A life-long resident of Norfolk, Mr. Perry had worked at the Public Works center at the US Naval Base since 1949. A veteran who served in the US Navy, he was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Lonnie Perry and was married to Mrs. Elaine Perry. In addition to his widow, Mr. Perry is survived by two brothers, Lonnie Perry of New York and Sherman Perry of Baltimore; two sisters, Mrs. Louise Walker of Norfolk and Mrs. Mary Etta Anderson of New York and other relatives. The Rev. F. P. Wise officiated at the funeral services and interment was in Calvary Cemetery with Morning Glory Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
