Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - March 17, 2016
Norfolk - Hilda W. Perry, 93, passed away peacefully on March 14, 2016. Born in 
Windsor, NC, she moved to Norfolk in the 1940's where she met and married Hugh 
B. Perry with whom she was married for 63 years until his death in 2007. She is 
survived by her daughter, Elizabeth Kaeser of Sterling, VA and son, H. B. "Pete" 
Perry (Trudy) of Virginia Beach, VA; 3 grandsons, Zachary, Matthew and Dylan; 1 
great grandson, Ezra and many beloved nieces and nephews. She retired from 
Norfolk City Schools where she was a school secretary and lived for many years 
on Howe St. in Norfolk until moving into assisted living facilities, most 
recently Chesapeake Place. She loved her church, Ocean View Baptist, and her 
many friends there and else where in Norfolk. With a quick wit and candid style, 
she could be counted on for a funny quip and a frank opinion. She will be dearly 
missed. A funeral will be held on Saturday, March 19, 2016, at 2 p.m. at Ocean 
View Baptist Church, 9504 Selby Place in Norfolk, VA 23503. Burial will follow 
at Forest Lawn Cemetery after which friends and family will gather at the 
church's reception hall for sharing memories. Arrangements are by Hollomon-
Brown, Tidewater Dr. Chapel.
