Norfolk Journal and Guide, May 14,1966
Baltimore - Mrs. Alta Perry, a Norfolk native, died May 6 in a local hospital. 
She was given a funeral service Wednesday in Bank Street Baptist Church,
Norfolk, and was buried in Calvary Cemetery with Graves Funeral Home in charge.

She was the wife of Joseph Perry and a daughter of the late Myles Braye and Mrs.
Rosa Braye.

Also surviving are a son, George C. Perry of Baltimore;  two daughters, Mrs.
Ruth Coley of Baltimore and Mrs. Elaine Bass of New York;  a brother, George
Braye of Wilmington Del.,  and two sisters, Mrs. Irene Davis of New York and
Mrs. Lucy Peeden of Norfolk.
