A native of Norfolk, he was a son of the late Henry and Mrs. Mary R. Perry. He worked for Bond Bakery 35 years and retired, was a former choir member of Bethlehem Baptist Church and a member of Sons of Norfolk. Besides his widow, surviving are three sons, Isaac Perry and James Perry of New York and Clarence J. Perry of Norfolk; four daughters, Mrs. Elizabeth Foreman and Miss Della M. Perry of New York, Miss Ruth Perry of Norfolk, and Mrs. Edith McKessler of Wynn AR; a brother, Simon Perry of Buffalo NY; two sisters, Mrs. Marie Daniels of New York and Mrs. Rebecca Bullock of Portsmouth; thirty-seven grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren. Services were held in Bethlehem Baptist Church by the Rev. L. P. Watson. Burial was in Calvary Cemetery with Hale Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
