Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - March 24, 1993
Jessie Ruby Peters, 90, of the 2600 block of Argonne Ave., died March 23, 1993, 
in a Norfolk nursing home. 
Mrs. Peters was born in Hilgrove, Ohio. She was a member of First Christian 
Church-Disciples of Christ in Norfolk. She came to Virginia in 1914 and moved to 
Norfolk in 1920. In 1923 she married the late Wesley Mack Peters Jr. She was 
also predeceased by a daughter, Betty P. Evans.
Survivors include two daughters, Ruby P. Minetree of Norfolk and Mary P. Lott of 
Raleigh, N.C.; two sons, W.M. Peters III and George E. Peters, both of Norfolk; 
nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. 
A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday in Forest Lawn Cemetery 
by the Rev. Jack Austin. The family will be at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Edward 
Minetree, 407 Fresh Meadow Road, Norfolk. The family will be at Cox Funeral Home 
Thursday from 7 to 8 p.m.
