Portsmouth - Mrs. Eugenia Hanbury Petherbridge, 74, of 701 Deep Creek Blvd., 
died Sunday at 2:15 p.m. in a Portsmouth hospital.

A native of Mount Pleasant, she was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. William 
Thomas Hanbury. She was the widow of Charles Oscar Petherbridge and had lived in 
Portsmouth 35 years.

Surviving are a sister, Mrs. Lillian Haley of Charlotte, NC, and nieces and 
nephews.

The body was taken to the Foster Funeral Home, where services will begin Tuesday 
at 2 p.m. Burial will be in the Elmwood Cemetery,Norfolk.
