Virginian Pilot, Friday, July 17, 1953
Mrs. Tamar Ann Whitehurst Petree, 83, widow of James Edward Petree, died at the
residence, 1101 East Ocean View Avenue yesterday at 12:05 a.m.

She is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Mildred P. Davis, Mrs. R. F. Schaeffer,
both of Norfolk;  Mrs. C. T. Mangum, of Tacoma Park, MD, and Mrs. B. W. Johnson
of Virginia Beach;  seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, a niece and
a nephew.

She was a life-long resident of Norfolk and a member of the First Methodist Church.

Funeral services will be conducted at the Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home tomorrow
at 11 a.m.  Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
