Virginian Pilot and The Norfolk Landmark August 26, 1925

Mrs. Carrie Frances Peyton, aged 60, widow of Luther T. Peyton, died yesterday 
morning at 10:45 o'clock at her residence, 610 Ferguson Avenue.  She was a 
native and lifelong resident of Norfolk.  Surviving her are three daughters, 
Mrs. Annie V. Leecy, of Detroit; Mrs. E. Bradley and Mrs. E.R. Moore, of 
Norfolk; three sons, W.L. and R.T. Peyton and Arthur Etheridge; one 
grandchild, Kathryn Peyton and a sister, Mrs. Urania Sykes, all of Norfolk. 
Funeral services will be held at the residence tomorrow afternoon at 3 
o'clock, the Rev. E.P. Miner, of St. Luke's Church, officiating.  Interment 
will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
