Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Saturday, July 11, 1992 
Thomas Lorenzo ``Jink'' Pharr, 83, of the 4600 block of Mayflower Road, died
July 8, 1992, in a hospital.

Mr. Pharr was born in Norfolk and had attended North Carolina A & T State
University, Greensboro, N.C. He had retired from the U.S. Public Health Service
Hospital, Norfolk, after 35 years and had also worked at Norfolk Community
Hospital. He was a member and vestryman of Grace Episcopal Church.

Survivors include a son, Randolph Boothe-Pharr of Norfolk, and a sister, Myra P.
Mercer of Portsmouth.

The funeral will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Monday in Grace Episcopal Church by
the Rev. Joseph N. Green Jr. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery . Friends may
join the family from 5 to 6 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home. The body will be
placed in the church at 11 a.m. Monday.
