Phelps, 702 Lee street, Monday afternoon at 5:50 o'clock after a brief illness. He had been living there but a short time and was in the forty-third year of his age. He is survived by a widow, Mrs. Ida Mae Phelps and mother, Mrs. Amanda E. Phelps, three sisters and a brother. The funeral services will be conducted at the residence this afternoon at 3 o'clock. Rev. W.A. Smith, pastor of the Berkley Avenue Baptist Church, will officiate and the interment will be in Magnolia Cemetery. *************************************************************** The funeral of Joseph B. Phelps was conducted at the residence of his brother, 702 Lee street, yesterday afternoon and was well attended. Rev. R.B. Scott, pastor of the Liberty Street M.E.
