PHELPS, LAURA STAPLES - At the residence, No. 3001 Tait Terrace, Monday, August 
14, 1961, at 8 p.m., LAURA STAPLES PHELPS, widow of R. Hunter Phelps, and daughter 
of the late Bert L., and Mamie Lawler Staples, in the 72nd year of her age. 
Remains will be taken from the H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, 1501 Colonial 
Avenue, to Christ the King Catholic Church for services THIS (Wednesday) MORNING 
at 10 o’clock. Friends of the family are invited to attend. Interment, St. Mary’s 
Cemetery.
