The Virginian Pilot January 20, 1984
Jennie Louise Nebb Phillips, 80, of 1503 Freeman Ave, a native of Norfolk and 
the widow of Roy Harold Phillips, died Thursday in a hospital.
Mrs. Phillips was a member of St. Matthews Catholic Church and its Over-50 Club.
Survivors include a daughter, Marjorie Nebb Curtis, and two sons, George Robert 
Nebb and Lawrence Emmett Nebb, all of Chesapeake; a stepdaughter, Joyce Archer 
Thomas of Sanford, N.C,; 11 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
A Mass of the resurrection will be offered at 2 p.m. Saturday in St. Matthews 
Catholic Church by the Rev. James R. Guttendorf. Burial will be in Riverside 
Memorial Park.
A Christian wake will be held at 7:30 p.m. today in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, 
Indian River Chapel. Memorial donations may be sent to Lake Taylor City Hospital 
or to a charity of the donor's choice.
