Virginian Pilot Sunday March 17, 1907

Mrs. Prudence Phillips, widow of the late W.R. Phillips, departed this life at the 
home of her daughter, Mrs. W.A. Brown, 712 Berkley avenue, on Friday morning at 
11:15 o'clock.  The deceased was in the 77th year of her age.  She is survived by 
one daughter, six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, who mourn their 
loss.  The funeral services will be conducted from her late residence this morning 
at 10 o'clock by the Rev. C.S. Lingamfelter, assisted by Rev. W.H. Riser, of 
Norfolk.
