The Norfolk Virginian Pilot Saturday October 12, 1946
William Jarvis Phillips, 64, son of Irvine and Mrs. Susan Beal Phillips, died 
Thursday afternoon at a Miami, Fla., hospital after an illness of five weeks.

A native of Moore County, N.C., he lived in Norfolk 20 years before moving to 
Miami 10 years ago. He was a member of the Fairmont Park Methodist Church.

He is survived by five sisters, Mrs. G.S. Norwood, of Siler City, N.C., Mrs. 
J.H. Moser, of Graham, N.C., Mrs. Mary P. Jones of Jacksonville, Fla., and Miss 
Daisy B. Phillips and Miss Eula F. Phillips, both of Norfolk.

Funeral services will be conducted at the Ewell & Williamson Funeral Home at a 
time to be announced. Interment will be in Cedar Grove.
