Norfolk - Mrs. Vannes Phillips, 65, of 900 Wide St., died Saturday, Dec. 7, in a
Norfolk hospital.

A native of Norfolk, she was a member of New Calvary Baptist Church.

Survivors include three brothers, Albert Byrd and Allen Byrd, both of Norfolk,
and Ralph Byrd of New York.

A funeral service was held Wednesday, Dec. 11, in New Calvary Baptist Church, by
the Rev. Milton A. Reid. Burial was in Calvary Cemetery. B. F. King Funeral Home
was in charge.
