SOPHIA PICKETT DIES, AGED 92

Miss Sophia Johnston Pickett, 92, daughter of Maj. Charles Pickett, CSA, and 
Mrs. Elizabeth Hawkins Smith Pickett, died yesterday at 2:15 p.m. in Richmond.
Miss Pickett was a native of Turkey Island, Henrico County, and a former 
resident of Norfolk.  She was a member of Christ and St. Luke's Episcopal 
Church.
Surviving are four nephews, Charles Pickett, of Fairfax; Henry Clay Pickett, of 
Portsmouth; Edward Watts Pickett, of Washington and William Peters Pickett, of 
Portsmouth.
The body will be taken from the H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments to Christ and St. 
Luke's Episcopal Church for funeral services Monday at 1 p.m., conducted by the 
Rev. Peyton R. Williams, rector.  Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery.
