NORFOLK - Mrs. Mary A. Piedmont, 88, of 5416 Powhatan Ave., the widow of William 
L. Piedmont and a native of Balland, W.Va., died Wednesday in a hospital.
She lived in this area most of her life. She was a member of Blessed Sacrament 
Catholic Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Miss Mary Annie Piedmont of Norfolk; three sons, 
William L. Piedmont Jr. of Hamden, Conn., John Francis Piedmont of Norfolk, and 
Joseph D. Piedmont of Roanoke; a sister, Mrs. Patricia Prominsk of Arlington; a 
brother, Joseph P. Donlan of Portsmouth; 21 grandchildren; and 18 great-
grandchildren.
A Christian wake will be held tonight at 7 in H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday at 11 a.m. in Blessed Sacrament 
Catholic Church with burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
