Pierce, died at West Point, Va., Sunday afternoon at 3 o'clock as the results of burns sustained when a gasoline stove exploded. The funeral service will take place tomorrow afternoon at 3 o'clock at the LeKies Memorial Methodist Church and will be conducted by Rev. Vincent W. Bargamin, pastor, assisted by Rev. J.T. Routten of the Seamen's Bethel. Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery. Besides her husband, Mrs. Pierce is survived by three brothers, W.T. and G.L. Marshall of Norfolk and Captain J.H. Marshall of Putylo, Essex County, Virginia; four sisters, Mrs. James West of Gloucester County, Virginia; Mrs. A.M. Williams of Norfolk, Mrs. J.H. Bowden of Norfolk and Mrs. John R. Edwards of Norfolk. Mrs. Pierce was formerly a resident of this city and was well known in the vicinity.
