Virginian Pilot and the Norfolk Landmark August 13, 1916

PIERCE - At the Norfolk Protestant hospital, Saturday, August 12, 1916, at 4 
a.m., MARY E. widow of Charles N. Pierce, aged 57 years.
Funeral services from the funeral apartments of H.C. Smith, 306 Bank Street, 
Monday, August 14, at 11 a.m.  Friends of the family invited to attend.  
Interment in Elmwood Cemetery.

The funeral of Mrs. Mary E. Pierce, who died at a local hospital yesterday, 
will take place at 11 o'clock tomorrow morning at the funeral apartments of 
H.C. Smith, 306 Bank Street.  She was a well known resident of Princess Anne 
County, a member of Martha Washington Council, No. 3, Daughters of America, 
and at the time of her death was 57 years of age.  She is survived by a 
daughter, Miss Mary E. Pierce, of Princess Anne.
