The Norfolk Virginian Pilot August 13, 1951


Miss Annie C. Pierce died yesterday morning after a lingering illness. She was 
a native of Norfolk. 
She was a yeomanette during World War I. She was the daughter of the late Frank 
G. and Margaret Pullen Pierce.
Miss Pierce is survived by a niece, Mrs. Margaret Watkins Pope, of Baltimore; a 
nephew, Leroy Pullen Watkins, of Arlington; a great niece, Mrs. H.L. Garen, and 
a great nephew, John O. Pope, Jr., of Baltimore.
The body will be taken from the Cox Funeral Home to Elmwood Cemetery where 
funeral services will be conducted tomorrow at noon by the Rev. Beverly Tucker 
White, rector of St. Andrews Episcopal Church.
