Death resulting indirectly from paralysis, the third stroke of which he received not long ago, although he had been confined to his home about two and a half years. During the recent war the deceased was a member of the Thirteenth Virginia Calvary, and a number of years was junior member of the firm of Pullen & Pierce, carriage manufacturers, and after the death of Mr. Pullen, conducted the business alone. He married a daughter of Mr. Pullen who, with two daughters, Mrs. J.L. Watkins and Miss Nannie Pierce, survive him. The interment was in Elmwood Cemetery.
