Virginian Pilot and The Norfolk Landmark January 24, 1922

The funeral of Sherman Gaston Piggott, infant son of J.E. and Iona Humphries 
Piggott, who died at 5 o'clock Sunday morning at the family residence, 29 
Jackson Street, South Norfolk, was conducted at the funeral apartments of E. 
Lee Cox, 402 Berkley Avenue, at 4 o'clock yesterday afternoon by the Rev. C.S. 
Sawyer, pastor of South Norfolk Baptist Church.  Burial was in Magnolia 
Cemetery.
