Virginian Pilot July 12, 1901

Mr. E. E. Pigott one among the oldest citizens of the town, died yesterday morning 
at 6:25 o'clock at the residence of his son-in-law, Mr. Gammon, on Maple avenue.  
The deceased was 76 years of age and had been sick about five weeks.  He leaves 
two daughters and four sons.  The funeral will be conducted from the residence 
this afternoon at 5 o'clock and Rev. T.C. Skinner, pastor of the Berkley Avenue 
Baptist Church, will officiate.  The interment will be in Magnolia Cemetery.
