Pillar, aged 54, died yesterday morning at 1:05 o'clock at the home of his brother-in-law, J.E. Weeks, 67 Porter street, South Norfolk, after a lingering illness. He was a native of Glasgow, Scotland, but had lived in this country 35 years. He was a son of the late Thomas and Mrs. Sarah S. Pillar, of Scotland. Surviving him are a son, William Pillar, of this city; two brothers, William Pillar, of Glasgow and Robert Pillar, of Norfolk; three sisters, Mrs. R.J. Campbell, Mrs. James Syme, of Glasgow and Mrs. Robert Norris, of Bothgate, Scotland. Funeral services will be conducted at the residence this afternoon at 4 o'clock by the Rev. T.H. Dimmock, pastor of Armstrong Memorial Presbyterian Church. Burial will be in the family lot in Magnolia Cemetery.
