The Virginian Pilot and Norfolk Landmark October 8, 1925


Mrs. Delitha Elizabeth Pitt. Aged 57, years, widow of Judge John O. Pitt, and 
daughter of the late Peter and Mrs. Angelica Sanderlin Wright, died yesterday 
morning at 8:45 o’clock at the residence of her son-in-law, J.F. Roberts, 4112 
Colonial Avenue. Mrs. Pitt was a native of Norfolk County and a resident of 
the city for a number of years. She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. J.F. 
Roberts; a granddaughter, Miss Eoline Roberts, and a brother, Nathaniel 
Wright, all of Norfolk. Funeral services will be conducted at the above 
residence tomorrow morning at 11 o’clock. The Rev. E.P. Milner, of St. Luke’s 
Episcopal Church will officiate. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
