Norfolk - A funeral service for Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Pittman of 1120 May avenue 
was held Sunday in Antioch Baptist Church by the Rev. J. W. Matthews.  Burial 
was in Mt. Olive Cemetery with Fitchett Funeral Home in charge.

Mrs. Pittman died March 5 in her home after a long illness.

A native of Scotland Neck, NC, she was a daughter of the late Turner Debraux and 
Mrs. Caroline Debraux and the widow of Ernest Pittman.

She was a member of the Pastor’s Aid Club of Antioch.

Surviving are a son, Thomas Pittman of Norfolk;  three daughters, Mrs. Ella Lee 
and Mrs. Bertha King of Norfolk and Miss Eunice Pittman of Brooklyn;  a brother, 
Buster Debraux of Chesapeake;  17 grandchildren, 44 great-grandchildren and five 
great-great grandchildren.
